I have done quite the exploration of majors/minors. During high school I thought I'd go into history and computer science. Then I took an economics course and loved it; my first major in college was econ with a Spanish minor. Then I hated the college econ course and switched to a Spanish major, with the intent of creating an admittedly insane independent major combining Spanish, Russian, and German. Then I re-entered computer science and added it as a minor right before I got a summer internship as a programmer. I also added a Russian minor. After that internship I realized I should have just done computer science from the start so halfway into my junior year I switched to a computer science major and switched the Spanish back to a minor. Later in the year I dropped the Russian minor because it was just too much time to catch up with the CS and I wouldn't actually have time to finish that minor. I probably won't be switching anything around this, my senior, year - but I guess we'll see!

Luckily for me my school makes it very easy to change majors if you're willing to put in the time and classes it takes. I guess it goes to show that life can always change and incoming freshmen especially (along with the rest of us!) shouldn't worry too much at the beginning of college about their majors!!

Thanks for the poll!
